Today as I was driving home for lunch, I saw this little thing run across the road, and as I got closer, I thought, “Wow, that cat looks a lot like Beka.” (who has been missing for the last month or so). So about a minute later I got home and Taylor was standing right at the door. I jumped out of the car and said, “I think I found Beka- let’s go!”. We drove over to the yard where I saw her and there were a couple guys outside. They said that she came over to them right around the time of the tornadoes, which is when she disappeared. She had been pregnant, and had kittens on Sunday. The guy has a few kids who have grown quite attached to her. So we will let them keep Beka but we’ll go back in a few weeks when the kittens are okay to be away from her and they’ll let us have a kitten. I am so excited to know that she’s okay and they’ve been taking care of her- just up the road from us this whole time! I can’t wait to get one of those little kittens. =)

A Few Things…

First of all, for dad…a couple of pictures of Taylor in the mini:

And then….
Grandma has been with us this week and it has been FANTASTIC. She’s just wonderful.
One of the many things she’s helped us with has been teaching me how to use sewing patterns. I made a purse tonight (the fastest I’ve ever done one.) and after finishing, Taylor said it could even be a reversible purse. Here are the pictures:

She also helped us with our garden. Well, it wasn’t really a garden until she came along. But I am very much looking forward to putting in some flowers and bushes and trees and fruits and vegetables. (Yes…I am even looking forward to vegetables.)
My goal is to have my etsy site back up by May 18 and to have 5 purses done before I start the site again. So now I just need four more!
