1. Arnold’s Sandwich Thins. Makes me want to eat a sandwich for every meal.

2. Glee. This show is just genius. And so much fun! You can watch it all here on hulu.
(Also, Joss Whedon is supposed to be directing an episode of it in a couple months! Sweet!)

3. A “Mad World” by Gary Jules station on Pandora. After “unliking” all the Beatles and Jack Johnson you get bombarded with at first, this becomes an awesome station.

4. This Video (Pixar Parody).

5. Emmanuel Coupe’s Photography. Absolutely beautiful.

October 7, 2009 · Leave a Comment

1. On Sunday, October 11th, at 9 p.m. (8 central) tune into Lifetime to watch Drop Dead Diva. Take a good look at the jury members. You may see a couple people you recognize. :)

2. Check out how adorable this baby is.

3. Visit PeopleofWalmart.com. Try to look away. Just try.

4. Go to Pandora.com and create a station for “The Swell Season.” Enjoy.

5.  Read this poem.

My Life According to Five Iron Frenzy

August 19, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I need a break from doing NOTHING at work, so I’m going to waste time with this nice little thing I found on facebook…..

Using only song names from ONE ARTIST, cleverly answer these questions. Do not repeat a song title.

Pick your Artist: Five Iron Frenzy

Are you a male or female?
One Girl Army

Describe yourself:
Sweet Talkin’ Woman

How do you feel:
I Feel Lucky

Describe where you currently live:
Far, Far Away

If you could go anywhere, where would you go?
Oh, Canada

Your favorite form of transportation:
Car

Your best friend?
Most Likely to Succeed

You and your best friend are:
All That is Good

What’s the weather like:
It’s So Hot (I’m Gonna Have a Heat Stroke)

Favorite time of day:
When I Go Out

If your life was a TV show what would it be called:
My Evil Plan to Save the World

What is life to you:
You Can’t Handle This

Your relationship:
Plan B

Your fear:
The Phanton Mullet

What is the best advice you have to give:
Receive Him

Thought for the Day:
These Are Not My Pants

My soul’s present condition:
New Hope

My motto:
Give Me Back My Sandwich

That was actually kind of fun to do. I’d be interested in reading your answers!

Thank You Very Much

August 4, 2009 · 2 Comments

Every year, Taylor and I watch Scrooge as part of our 12 days of Christmas movies. (If you have not seen this, you are majorly missing out.) There is one song in particular that is not necessarily very Christmas-y and gets stuck in our heads really easily. The title is “Thank you very much” so anytime I hear someone say that, I automatically get the song in my head. One of our patients said it this morning, so of course, it’s been going through my head for the last couple of hours. And I just had to pass along that joy to you. So, for your viewing and hearing pleasure….

I’m Back!

July 16, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Well, we’ve been back for a little over a week now and things are starting to get back to normal. Man of La Mancha opens tonight and goes through Sunday. If you haven’t heard about our time at AMTC from some other communication form, let me know and I’ll update you.

What I really want to share with you today is some awesome cakes that my friend Kara made for the Threadless Tees Cake Contest. Check it out by clicking on the picture below.

Co-op?

June 24, 2009 · 2 Comments

For those of you who were interested in knowing more about the co-op, here’s a little upate…..

Ha. What a joke that was. It wasn’t even a REAL co-op. The lady who we paid was just scamming everybody. And the truth is, if she hadn’t been so lazy and actually done things on time, we never would have started asking questions and figured it out. There’s just too much ridiculousness that happened to describe it all to you. But, the good news is, we got most of our money back, and for the time we were involved, we did get some neat stuff. (like 3 bottles of the amazing Simply Lemonade!)

Lesson learned: Never trust morbidly obese rednecks with 6 children.
